Cerillo Bait Co.
PRIVACY
POLICY.
A plain-language explanation of the information CBC Lures collects and how it is used.
Effective September 28, 2026
SCOPE
This policy applies to information collected through cbclures.com, operated by Cerillo Bait Co. (CBC Lures).
Information you provide
When you join the CBC Lures launch list, we collect your email address, the signup location on the site, any associated product interest, and the time of consent. We use that information to send the product-development, launch, and Field Notes emails you requested.
When you email CBC Lures, we receive the contact information and message details you choose to provide. We use that information to respond to your request and maintain relevant business records.
Website analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use this website. Google Analytics may process information such as pages viewed, link interactions, referring pages, general device and browser details, approximate location, and online identifiers associated with cookies or similar technologies.
CBC also uses first-party analytics stored in its own website database. Random anonymous identifiers stored locally in your browser may distinguish visitors and sessions. We may record page views, landing pages, referring sources, approved UTM campaign tags, general device category, focused viewing time, launch-list button interactions, anonymous sessions with a successfully saved signup, traffic classification signals, and coarse geographic country and state/region supplied by Cloudflare. CBC does not store raw IP addresses, exact locations, email addresses, or browser fingerprints in its first-party analytics. Social tracking links use a first-party cookie for up to 30 days after the most recent tracked link click. This connects subsequent visits and new launch-list signups to that campaign and platform. A signup may reference its anonymous page-view record; email addresses remain only in the launch list and are not copied into analytics tables or reports. Google Analytics 4 continues to operate separately.
We use these reports to improve site performance, product information, and fishing content. We do not send email addresses or other directly identifying launch-list information to analytics systems.
How information is used and shared
We use collected information to operate and secure the website, maintain the launch list, measure content performance, improve CBC Lures products and communications, and comply with legal obligations.
Information may be processed by service providers that support website hosting, database storage, email delivery, or analytics. We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the website, the company, or others.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link included in those messages. You may also block or clear cookies and local website storage through your browser settings. Our first-party tracker respects the browser Do Not Track signal and skips collection when its required local storage is unavailable. Blocking analytics cookies can limit our ability to measure site usage but should not prevent you from reading the site.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with your email address by contacting us. Applicable rights vary by location, and we will respond as required by law.
Retention and security
Launch-list information is retained while you remain subscribed or while it is reasonably needed for the purposes described here. First-party detailed page-view and anonymous conversion events are retained for 12 months; expired records are removed on the next analytics collection or dashboard request. Google Analytics information is retained according to the settings in our Google Analytics property. We use reasonable safeguards, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.
Children and policy updates
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We may update this policy as the website, products, or service providers change. The effective date below identifies the current version.
GOOGLE INFORMATION
Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services on its partner-sites privacy page.
